Cultivating Communities of Moral Discernment: Exploring Best Practices for Teaching and Preaching about Justice

A day of focused conversation among rostered leaders who feel called to teach and preach about justice, and who are interested in exploring issues such as:

yellow box What is the goal of preaching and teaching about justice?
 
yellow box How does one preach meaningfully about justice without either directing people what to think or diluting the message into meaninglessness?

yellow box What are parameters for choosing the best context for addressing an issue from the pulpit versus in a small group discussion?

yellow box What are the effects on the congregation when sensitive issues are addressed and how do we provide pastoral care?
