serve Gods purpose in this world. | ||
| |
Have a hymn sing before or after worship |
|
|
Solicit
your senior's favorite hymns and use those as liturgy elements. |
| |
Honor
your senior members at a carry-in after worship for various reasons, i.e. Most
miles spend doing volunteer ministry
.. ; most faithful at worship
.
; being a child/youth magnet; etc. You get the idea! Check out www.oldlutheran.org
for fun rewards. |
| Make a picture board showing seniors at "work" doing their various ministries within and the congregation and beyond. | |
| Lift up your homebound and nursing home residence who still participate in the life of the church through their prayers. | |
| Have a storytelling festival where senior members tell of a significant event of their faith journey; or have the stories revolve around your congregation. Make this part of a social gathering such as a pot-luck or ice-cream social, family fun day. | |
| |
Share
a meal with your parishioners at the care facility/senior residence they reside. |
