To combat an environment of poverty in which single women head many families, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chile is hard at work:

• Women are being organized into collectives to work on a larger scale and help more women gain a source of income.
• The Lutheran Church in Chile is working with the Pastoral de la Mujer, which will train the women and see that the projects become self-sustaining.
• We invite members of the IK Synod to help finance the materials needed to initiate these projects.

How you can help:

• For as little as $300.00 or as much as $700.00, an entire project can be initiated.
• 100% of the money collected will go directly to the projects and the donations are tax deductible.
• You may help by donating money through your church and designate it for the "Chile Women's Projects."
• The money will be sent to the IK Synod office and then to Chile.
• Look for updates on these projects as time goes on.
• Please pray that each of these women will have food for her family today.
