"Both of My Parent Lost with Tsunami"

We went out of the house when the first earthquake hit the ground, my
father asked us to stay at the rice-field untill the earthquake stopped.
Then, my father managed to enter the house to check out if things in house were broken by the earthquake. When an earthquake hit the second time, my father managed again to enter the house while suddently at the same time, big waves of water came closer to us. My father ordered us to run away to the rice field area and at that time, we were separated. We were running to the right direction while father to the left direction away from waves.
Waves of water were blowing us and threw us to a place. When waves were
calmed, we managed to walk in deep water that reached our chest. We met a policeman, who we know, Mr. Siahaan. He took us to a refugees camp. A day later, we found our brothers and sisters at TVRI's (the Indonesian
National Television network - red ) refugees camp. We arrived in Medan on December 31, 2004. From 7 of us, 3 are missing and haven't found yet, father, mother and one of our brother. Now, I stay in Tanjung Morawa at my father's brother house. Before tsunami, I went to school in Banda Aceh Analysis Academy. My brothers, one is in his third years in senior High School and the other one is in her first year. The youngest one here right now is in her third years in junior High School. My father's brother is a university teacher in Medan.K.
Marta Siahaan (Banda Aceh)
