Pastor Roberta J. “Berta” Meyer

February 13, 1949 – June 8, 2022

We offer our Christian sympathy and the promise of the resurrection to the family and friends of Pastor Roberta Meyer who joined the Church Triumphant on June 8, 2022.
Pastor Roberta served as pastor of Grace and Peace in Evansville, Indiana, for 10 years. Prior to that, Roberta was a teacher at Scott Elementary School in Evansville for 35 years, and served as a Diaconal Minister with the Heritage Hills Youth Program for 5 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Emily Huddleston, and a son-in-law, Dereck Blocker. Roberta is survived by her husband, David Meyer of Holland; children, Amy Blocker of Huntingburg, Jake (Kelly) Alexander of Monroe City, IN, Emily (Anthony) Spinner of Holland; a sister, Carol (Gary) Meyerholtz of Huntingburg; a brother, Rolla Thomas Huddleston; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation for Pastor Roberta will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (EDT) from 1:00 to 7:00 (CDT) on Monday, June 20th, at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
Services will be held at Grace and Peace Lutheran Church in Evansville on Tuesday, June 21st, at 1:00 p.m. EDT;12:00 noon CDT. Friends may call prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EDT; 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon CDT. Assistant to the Bishop for Discipleship, Dan Fugate, will preside at the service.
