Gathering

•  Color is blue or purple.
•  Processions are generally omitted. Processions symbolize the coming of the Christ into our midst. It is appropriate to omit them while we  wait for his coming.
•  Advent wreath may be blessed and candles lit as part of Gathering Rite.
•  Order of Confession is used (available resources include ELW and Sundays and Seasons).
•  Kyrie is sung.
•  Canticle of Praise is omitted.
