Mutual Ministry Committee

If your congregation does not have a Mutual Ministry Committee, it is a good time to start one after you have called a new rostered leader. We suggest that the Call Committee, if they are willing, become the Mutual Ministry Committee initially, since they have been the first to recommend this person be called by the congregation.

You should also observe your constitution, Chapter 13.04, about the makeup and appointment of the committee, as well as checking Chapter 5.03.i., to see if the congregation is responsible for electing committees of the congregation.

To assist you in the formation and working of a Mutual Ministry Committee, you may want to consult Pastor and People: Making Mutual Ministry Work.
