Indiana-Kentucky Synod Food Ministry Grant – Now Open!

Indiana-Kentucky Synod Food Ministry Grant – Now Open!

The Indiana-Kentucky Synod is excited to announce the availability of Food Ministry Grants, made possible through the generosity of the Clifford and Nancy Ball bequest.

These grants are designed to support and strengthen existing food ministries—such as food pantries and community meals—within our congregations, Synod Authorized Worshiping Communities, Synod Authorized Outreach Ministries, and campus ministries.

Grant Details:

  • Up to $1,000 per ministry
  • 10% matching funds required
  • Open to ELCA ministries across Indiana and Kentucky
  • Supports your ministry’s own food efforts (not pass-through funding)
  • Includes an invitation to share stories of impact and community connection

This is more than funding—it is an opportunity to expand your ministry’s visibility, deepen relationships, and share the story of how God is at work through your community’s care for neighbors.

Application Deadline: April 13, 2026

Applications should include a description of your ministry, its impact, and a simple budget outlining how funds will be used.
