Hybrid Position: Residence in or near Indianapolis is not required for this position. Residence in Indiana or Kentucky is preferred. The Coordinator may work remotely for administration and coordination through electronic, digital, and other means of meeting and communicating. Workspace is available for the Coordinator in the Indiana-Kentucky Synod office in Indianapolis, Indiana, when needed.

Job Summary: The Disaster Coordinator and Capacity Builder will serve on the staff of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod for three years. The Coordinator will engage across the two-state territory of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod in partnership with Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR) to build capacity to prepare for and respond to disasters with care, compassion, and resiliency.
