A Message from Pastor Dan Fugate, Assistant to the Bishop for Discipleship
Dear Friends:
I experience serving as Assistant to the Bishop for Discipleship as a true honor, and only because I am a parish pastor at heart, have I chosen to accept a call to serve as Pastor of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Carmel, Indiana.
My last day of employment as Assistant to the Bishop for Discipleship will be September 5, 2023. Due to accumulated vacation time, my last day of active ministry with the IN-KY Synod will be August 15, 2023.
I would like to thank Bishop Bill Gafkjen, Synod Staff, Synod Council, Rostered Leaders, Lay Leaders, Campus Ministry Boards, and all members of our faith communities, especially the amazing youth of our synod, for the opportunity to serve as your Assistant to the Bishop for Discipleship for the past six-plus years. It has been an extremely rewarding ministry and a chance to make a difference.
Thank you for the opportunity you gave me to serve in this way.
