Who Is My Neighbor?

The 32nd Annual Assembly of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will be held Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2, 2019, in the South Ballroom of the Purdue Memorial Union at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.  Check-in/registration begins at 11:00 am EDT on Friday, May 31, 2019, with the Opening of the Assembly beginning at 1:00 pm EDT.  The Who Is My Neighbor? Mission Banquet will begin at 6:30 pm, June 1, 2019.

Assembly Location and Registration Information


Purdue Memorial Union, 101 West Grant Street, West Lafayette, IN  47906.  There are hotel rooms with special group rates at a variety of area hotels.  There are also private air conditioned dorm rooms with private bathrooms available at a discounted rate.  Please see the registration page at for more details.

Assembly Registration Fees

The registration fee is $175 (which includes dinner on Friday, breakfast (if not already provided at your hotel), lunch and banquet meal on Saturday, and breakfast (if not already provided at your hotel) on Sunday, refreshment breaks, and all materials)  per voting member or registered visitor.  Registration fees increase to $200 after the early bird registration deadline, Friday, March 30, 2019.

Retired professional leaders on the roster of this synod pay a reduced fee of $85 to attend the assembly.  Registration for retired rostered ministers increase to $100 after Friday, March 30, 2019.

Fees for interim pastors are to be paid by the congregation(s) being served.

After Wednesday, May 9, only on-site registration will be available.  The fee will be $240 per registrant ($115 for retired rostered leaders).  Meals may not be guaranteed with on-site registration, but will be available on a “first come, first served” basis as we receive cancellations.

In an effort to continue being good stewards of our earth’s resources, the Bulletin of Reports will be available as a free download on the Indiana-Kentucky Synod’s website: after May 1, 2018.  The information is also available from the ELCA’s Guidebook app.  Printed copies may be purchased for $20 by contacting Carol Ann Webb ( or 317.253.3522) no later than May 9, 2019.
