The 31st Annual Assembly of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will be held Thursday, May 31, through Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Check-in/registration opens at 11:00 am EDT on Thursday, May 31, 2018, with opening worship beginning at 1:00 pm EDT.  The first plenary session will begin at 2:30 pm and the Leading Church Together Mission Banquet will begin at 6:30 pm, May 31, 2018.

Assembly Location and Registration Information

Location

Grand Wayne Convention Center, 120 West Jefferson Boulevard, Fort Wayne, IN  46802.  There are rooms with special group rates available at the Hilton Fort Wayne at the Grand Wayne Convention Center and the Courtyard by Marriott – Fort Wayne Downtown.  Both hotels are in close proximity to the Grand Wayne Convention Center.

Assembly Registration Fees

The registration fee is $175 (which includes the Thursday evening banquet meal, Friday buffet lunch, refreshment breaks, and all materials) per voting member or registered visitor.  Registration fees increase to $200 after the early bird registration deadline, Friday, March 30, 2018.

Retired professional leaders on the roster of this synod pay a reduced fee of $85 to attend the assembly.  Registration for retired rostered ministers increase to $100 after Friday, March 30, 2018.

Fees for interim pastors are to be paid by the congregation(s) being served.

LATE/ON-SITE REGISTRATION

After Wednesday, May 9, only on-site registration will be available.  The fee will be $240 per registrant ($115 for retired rostered leaders).  Meals may not be guaranteed with on-site registration, but will be available on a “first come, first served” basis as we receive cancellations.

In an effort to continue being good stewards of our earth’s resources, the Bulletin of Reports will be available as a free download on the Indiana-Kentucky Synod’s website:  www.iksynod.org after May 1, 2018.  The information is also available from the ELCA’s Guidebook app (information on how to download and access this information can be found at iksynod.org/assembly).  Printed copies may be purchased for $15 by contacting Carol Ann Webb (cwebb@iksynod.org or 317.253.3522) no later than May 9, 2018.

Hotel Reservations

You will need to make your hotel reservations in addition to and separately from your Synod Assembly registration.  Information about this process is available here and on the Synod Assembly registration website.

The Hilton Fort Wayne at the Grand Wayne Convention Center is attached to the Grand Wayne Convention Center, where most of the assembly takes place.
