The Good Shepherd and His Sheep (John 20:19-31)

Watch the story (John 10) together:

Sheep are led and taken care of by a person called a shepherd. That shepherd takes care of sick sheep and helps keep them clean.  Shepherds lead sheep to water and tell them when it is time to rest.  Shepherds help sheep find shelter. Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish”

Discuss:

  • Why do you think the sheep knew Jesus’ voice?
  • Who are the sheep Jesus is talking about?
  • How does a shepherd take care of his sheep?

Snack

From https://kitchenfunwithmy3sons.com/sheep-fruit-snack/

Use bananas and grapes to create a sheep!  This one has eyes created out of mini-marshmallows and raisins cut in half.  The green grapes can also be cut in half if you’re worried about them rolling off the plate.
